A beautiful 501 mile ride…

A beautiful 501 mile ride – speechless at the beauty of the Canadian Rockies. Unfortunately, we didn’t know it was Canada Day and, stopping for the night in Jasper (Banff National Park area) we could not find a motel/hotel/b & b – all fully booked; so we sat in the closed railway station all night. Left Jasper at 6am and rode to the next town, McBride. That was a difficult ride for Jan – rain, mist and the ever-present danger of large animals all along the roadway. We made the 100-odd miles to here, found a fantastic motel at a good price and Jan is sleeping and recovering. We are also drying out clothes. Hope to make Alaska the day after tomorrow.
