Update – Ohio to Iowa

1019 here in the UK, and 0519 in the midwest of the USA. I’ve just had a phone call from Jan.

From Forest, Iowa, it has rained heavily all through the night. He stopped to fill up three times and put on some thermal clothing but, as he rode along I-80, he began to shiver so uncontrollably, he felt he wasn’t handling the bike safely.

So, one hour ago, he found a motel in Iowa, checked in (it wasn’t ideal for a biker and he had to lug all the luggage down numerous corridors) and now he is planning to hit the sack and decide about carrying on later today or wait until tomorrow morning.
